Structured in sections, it publishes in-depth articles on music and other folklore, as well as national and foreign chronicles also on music and texts of literary creation (poems, ballads, etc.), anecdotes, brochures and advertisements. He also published an interesting history of music, and had a certain patriotic character. He also inserted some engravings. Among his signatures are those of García de Torres, who may have been his director, and José María de Albuerne, as well as the pseudonyms Aben-Zaide and El Desconocido. His collection forms a volume, from 15 October 1843 to 24 February 1844, with 28 issues, eight pages each, and a total of 224 pages. It appeared six times a month, first printed in the Establishment Typeface of Independence Street and then in their own printing press. From its number 13, of three January 1844, it changed its title: Gaceta musical y literaria de España. And in the following issue, dated 6 January, it merges with The Philharmonic.
