Its owner and editor is Miguel Budo and it was directed by Mariano Soriano Fuertes (1817 -1880). It was published on Sundays, except in the months of June to September, in issues of four pages. There are also lessons on musical history and even instructive musical stories or novels. In addition to lyrics, she was attentive to events in religious music, military music and theatre orchestras. The variety sections and the theatre magazine section report on current events and performances in the different provinces and dedicate weekly space to the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. In addition to another section on musical events, it also reports on the National Conservatory of Music and Declamation of Madrid and the various artistic-musical societies. It includes scores for singing and piano or piano solo with operas performed in Barcelona and even publishes special supplements on tributes and anniversaries of musicians. Its pages are signed by Francisco Asenjo Barbieri (1823-1894) and Baltasar Saldoni (1807-189), among others.
