Primarily for piano teachers who want to assign contemporary piano music to their students. Also can be used by pianists searching for new repertoire.
-
Includes music published from 1950-1968. It is in the mainstream of contemporary music but is diverse in style. No music for prepared piano has been included.
-
Two volumes. Volume 1 is for the early beginner, level 1-5. Volume two contains music from level 5-8. Within the levels, the pieces are arranged according to difficulty, with the easiest pieces first. Each piece has been 'ranked' by the author. Descriptions of each piece are given. An index to composers and compositions given at the end of each volume makes it easy to find music by a specific composer.
