-
Contains an introduction that is divided into two sections Historical Perspectives and Research in the 1980's and 90's. The book goes on to a bibliography section that contains six sections covering bibliography and reference, manuscripts, medieval documents and theoretical resources, modern anthologies and editions, general studies, and specific studies. A discography chapter is next containing information on cassettes, monophonic music of the troubadours, thirteenth and fourteenth century interactions. The book includes a general index as well an index of individual poets/composers, medieval theorists, titles of songs and other works.
