Studio cast recordings and complete theatre scores that haven't been recorded before have been included. Information was gathered from the New York Public Library.

Divided into four general categories: Discography, Chronology, Performer Index and Technical Index. Each category is arranged alphabetically by title except for the Chronology category, which is organized according to the date the title piece was first performed, and then followed by the date of the recording. The Performer Index lists the performers in alphabetical order. Each performer has a list of all the titles they sing in, which is also organized alphabetically. The technical index is a listing of composers, lyricists and musical directors in alphabetical order with their shows listed in alphabetical order. Each entry has a title, a description, dates (either of the production, recording, telecast, concert, etc.) The name of the theatre, concert hall, network, etc. is listed. Lastly, the company issuing the LP or CD is given along with the catalogue number. Not included are the composer, lyricist, conductor credits, and source material if this information is in the original show credits. All cast members are listed alphabetically. Then the songs on the recording are listed in the order they're performed, followed by the name of the people who performed them. Occasionally this information will be followed by a note of interest.
