-
A general quick reference.
-
This dictionary covers a wide spectrum of composers, performers, conductors, musical terms and forms, instruments, works, venues, and other musical topics. Most entries are associated with Western music.
-
Alphabetical. Generally uses the most common name or spelling of a musical work or composer. Any cross-referenced term is designated with an asterisk, indicating a separate entry. Works listed under a composer’s name are organized chronologically by composition date. If composition date is unavailable, a date for the first the performance or of publication, whichever is earliest, is used.
